We went to this restaurant on a Boxing Day when...

We went to this restaurant on a Boxing Day when very little else seemed to be open. We were seated right by a roaring fireplace, and our server was friendly and prompt. Drink and appetizer orders were taken and arrived shortly thereafter. I had the fish and chips, a dish about which I'm very particular, and was pleasantly surprised. The other two people in my party enjoyed their dinners as well. Our server was attentive but not overbearing, and in a nice change of pace, was the only one who served us, so we knew who to tip. On a related note, we often stop in for drinks and wings after a Guelph Storm home game, and I would highly recommend the trip to anyone who asked. Great job!

Good food Good price Good service - My only...

Good food Good price Good service - My only complaint is the building seems to have been built without consideration that a men's room is necessary. The men's room is about 10 square feet, and the urinals are 12 inches from the sink. - Other than that, good restaurant, and no complaints.

There must have been a club or some group...

There must have been a club or some group celebrating something on this night. It was busy, either that or they have about fifty regulars who go at the same time and they all came in after us. We had a nice table near the bar. (I love the rolling chairs!). The bartender seemed to be more concerned about us than our waitress though. A couple of times we almost went to the lady bartender for drinks she was very smily. Other than that we recommend this pub. P.S. the bathrooms are clean and there's room for more than one person at a time, that's a switch in Guelph.

This is a favourite destination when my friends...

This is a favourite destination when my friends and I get together. We have been here so many times and we always enjoy it. The atmosphere is great, there's lots of room when we have larger groups, and the food and drinks are always served in a reasonable time. The staff are typically attentive and nice, and are obviously good at what they do. My friends and I will continue to frequent this spot for years to come, I'm sure.
